Luke's last day of preschool!

I don't know if Lukey's last day of class pictures could have been worse.  He insisted on wearing long sleeves (and a hat and mittens on the way to school) even though it was going to be 80 that day.  He also was in no mood to take a picture.  Oh well.  Anna wanted to frown in every picture even though she was not sad at all.

Lukey had a really good school year.  He can write his first and last name without anyone telling him how (which is not easy with our last name), his drawing has improved and he's become a somewhat better listener.  His reading has gotten a lot better this year too.  He now is pretty good at reading words he has never seen before.  He really tries to sound out the letters.   His teacher today told me how impressed she is with how good he is with writing in his journal.  Without any help he can sound out and write words pretty well.  We're proud of him and know he'll do great next year in Young 5 Kindergarten.

Anna's still keeping up the frown face.

Lukey had a really fun last day of school party.  One of the dads of the kids in his class works at High Velocity so he arranged for us to go there for free to play games on the soccer field and go on the bounce houses.  Anna got to go too.  They had a great time.
