Animals

Lukey was getting pretty good at being nicer to the cats.  He's recently started to beat up on Oliver again a little.  Oliver is such a good cat to take the abuse without getting mad.  He offers free rides.

Last week we took the kids to Kensington with Nana and Pa Bob.  Lukey thought the farm was okay.  He liked the beach better.  Anna did too.

His favorite part of the farm might have been the sheep water.

Lukey gets a very thoughtful look on his face at meals and just stares out the window.  He sometimes starts smiling to himself as he gazes at the trees.  I really wish I knew what he was thinking about.  He'll sometimes sit there for a really long time in this state.

We celebrated Ma's birthday by going to the Detroit Zoo (thanks Uncle Rob and Auntie Steph for the Zoo pass).

Lukey and his Da looked really nice sitting on the bench eating a snack together.  I would've liked to take better pictures but I was feeding Anna at the same time so it was a little difficult.

Lukey met a peacock (or actually a peahen?).  He thought it was really funny when Da gave him some goldfish crackers.  He then tried to feed the peacock some grapes.  That was when we decided that we shouldn't feed the peacock anything else.

Lukey didn't want to go on the merry-go-round at the Liberty Festival but he really wanted to ride it at the zoo.  However, once he got on he didn't like it as much.  He clung to his Da.  He also didn't like it when Da tried to hold on to the poles.

Anna is getting smarter everyday.  She likes to play with her feet.

She can also roll in both directions and is starting to scoot across her activity mat.  For example, here is where she started....

...and here is where she ended up.  She'll be crawling in no time.
