Anna's birthday party

Anna had her first friend birthday party a few weeks ago.  She wanted to go to a place they went to for girl scouts in the fall.  It is a bakery where the kids make their own pizzas and decorate their own mini cakes.  Anna had a lot of fun!  She has made a a lot of good friends this year.  She invited Luke, Leah and Juliet and some of her friends from class.  Most were girls. She only invited one boy besides Luke.

Happy Birthday to Anna!

Anna is 6!  This was her first year not having a big family party.  She just had a small gathering for grandparents and cousins on her birthday and will be having a party with her friends next week.  The kids had a snow day on her birthday.  We thought she'd be upset but she was okay about it when we told her she would still be able to celebrate at school on Monday.  She's having a great year in kindergarten.  She's made some good friends and seems to really enjoy school.  Right now she is also in ballet, piano and girl scouts.  Her favorite food is still noodles.

Anna has had a lot of fun as a Girl Scout Daisy this year.  She sold a lot of cookies and gets to go on fun field trips.  Today we took a tour of the Humane Society of Huron Valley for a field trip.  It was cute seeing and learning about the animals.  She's also made some nice friends in her troop.

Tessa gets baptized!

Last weekend Tessa was baptized.  She was very agreeable throughout the process.  She's a very nice easy-going baby.

The proud parents.

Jacob's party and snow

A few weeks ago we went to Jacob's birthday party at High Velocity.  It was right after one of Luke's soccer games so we had a full day of fun at High Velocity.  Everyone had fun playing on the bounce houses.  Even mommy and da!

I don't know why this picture has this bar across it!  It only does on the blog.

Why was Paige so grumpy?

It snowed about 8 feet last week.  The kids had fun playing in the snow.  it was up to their neck and a little hard to walk in.

New Years

For New Years Eve we stayed in and drank champagne and ate fondue and watched a movie.  We also talked about resolutions.  Nothing too interesting.  On New Years Day we drove to the Sandusky Great Wolf Lodge with Leah and Juliet's family.  It was a lot of fun!  A perfect little trip.  We had a pretty cool room with a "kid cabin" inside.  These pictures didn't stay in order so its a mix of New Years Eve and New Years.

Katherine and I convinced Tim and Chris to go down the slide together just because we thought it would be a funny picture.  ðŸ˜‚

A toothy picture of Anna.  She lost her first tooth a few weeks ago at school and lost the second during break.  She is like Lukey about her teeth and lets them get so loose that they hang by a thread for a few days then just fall out on their own.  She doesn't want to pull on them because she says it will hurt too much.

We got some fake champagne for the kids.  Anna loved it and Lukey thought it was just okay.  She was also very excited about using real champagne glasses and thought the Waterford ones Tim and I were using were amazing.

Luke liked some of the slides and Anna liked some of the small slides.  Their favorite thing though seemed to be the lazy river.

At night we got some pizza and took over almost all the couches in the lobby to eat dinner.  They had a fun dance party and a kind of boring puppet show.  Then pretend snow came down in the lobby.  After fun in the lobby we went back to Leah and Juliet's room and the kids played.  They had a little too much fun though and a worker came to our room and told us to pipe down because there was a noise complaint.  Oops.
