Botanical gardens

We did our annual trip to the botanical gardens.  It was a little different than usual because the Children's garden and other garden area is closed.  We still did the walk around the pond.

matching

Luke and Anna have gotten along very well for the most part during our stay at home time.  One of the nicest things they do is dress the same. They do this on their own every few days.  It's usually with their Colony sweatshirts.  This day was OBX and Hilton Head  and jeans day.  They are so clever!

Oh deer!

We have had a lot of deer in our backyard woods lately.  Maybe we always do but just see them more when we're home all the time.  The really exciting thing this year though is that there is a baby deer!!  The first picture is pretty clear of it sleeping in the woods during the day.  Then later, the baby was prancing around with its mama.
It was darker, so the pictures are not really clear.  But, I think we can all see that it was very dear!  (Pun and rhyme intended)

Staying at home

We had our first turkey in our backyard a few days ago!!  Boy were we excited!

This Easter it was just us since people aren't allowed to be near each other during the coronavirus. We dressed up for our Easter google hangout meetings with family...then back to our usual pajamas/sweatpants that we've been wearing for the last month.
We had a pleasant Easter.  The kids had an egg hunt and we had a nice dinner.

Luke has gotten into playing ping pong.  Oliver sometimes walks around on the table during the games.  We make sure not to hit him.

It's April 17th and it has snowed twice this week.  This should not ever happen.  I'll admit though that it was a lot of fun to play outside today.  It was really good packing snow. We had a few snowball fights, made snow angels, built this handsome fellow and went sledding.

Happy Birthday, Anna!

Anna had 2 luau parties for her birthday. One with friends and one with family.  At the time of these parties, we didn't even realize how was lucky she was to get these in right before the world ended and everything shut down.

We did the limbo

Oliver didn't mind having leis put on him.  Don't worry, we were careful to make sure not to leave it on so he wouldn't get hurt.

Everyone that Anna invited came to her party.  She has some really nice friends.  They were all very good at getting along and playing together at the party.

Oliver hung around while Anna was opening presents.

Tim and Luke looked great in their matching outfits!

I got a matching dress to wear with Anna for her family party, but I guess we didn't get any pictures.

The second luau party.  Same theme, but for this party we had better food, mai tais and Hawaiian beer, and an ice cream cake.

This wasn't at Anna's party.  This was after during our stay at home during the coronavirus pandemic. We've all been home and only leaving for groceries and walks.  It's a drag to not be able to go anywhere. The worst is that we had to cancel our vacation to Hilton Head.  Very sad.  On the plus side, we're healthy, we get to spend time together as a family, we've had time to make some good meals and cookies, we've had extra time to clean the house and garage and we've played some fun games and watched some good movies.  One thing we did was play school.  Oliver was one of the students.  He wasn't good at the pledge of allegiance.
