The 2020 Holiday Season
This year, since there's not a lot going on, we decided to celebrate more holidays. We sort of celebrated Hanukkah but making our own menora and lighting a candle each night. This is Anna reciting one of the Hanukkah lighting candle verses. We also had latkes and matzo ball soup one night. That was good!
We also celebrated Festivus by having the pole out. We told the kids what Festivus was all about and showed them a video of George Castanza's dad explaining the holiday, but they decided they wanted nothing further to do with this holiday.
For Kwanza, we had some jerk chicken. That's about all.
The kids made some wonderful gingerbread houses.
We learned how to take a picture with the self timers. Only took a few tries. Christmas was a little strange without celebrating with anyone else. No biggie though. We'll see everyone eventually and better to all stay safe. Dang, I forgot to take New Year's Eve pictures. For New Year's Eve we did what seems to be the usual now, which is have fondue and Luke had a big steak. Anna had mac and cheese.
We made 3 batches of cookies. Sugar cookies, Neiman Marcus and Jingle Jangles.
