Digging holes

I don't remember what someone said to Lukey to upset him, but he wasn't happy about something.  He's a dramatic boy.  That's okay.

Meanwhile, Anna was digging holes.  Anna was an expert hole digger.  She didn't even tell anyone what she was doing, but had a whole system worked out.

First, she'd dig like a dog.

Then when it got too deep to dig like a dog, she'd start digging like a turtle.

At some point she'd get so deep that Tim would need to pull her out of her hole.

Then she'd jump in.

It wasn't always ready yet.  She'd  take careful calculations on how deep it was to see if it was ready.

Once ready, she'd get in and cover herself with sand.

And decorate her creation.

Luke dug himself a hole too.

Photo shoot at the beach

One morning we attempted a photo shoot at the beach.  It ended up being too sunny for pictures, but we did what we could and got a few okay ones.  Lukey wanted to take the first picture as a silly pictures.  A little too silly...
I gave Anna beach waves for the pictures.  I tried to do this with my hair too but failed.  Hers looked nice though.

Sometimes candid photos are the best ones.

I deleted a lot of pictures because for most of them the kids had their hands in their faces or eyes closed or looked grumpy.  This was the best we could do.

Lukey has such a great smile!

Spring Break-Duck

Last week, we went to Aunt Roselyn and Uncle Dennis's "Yellow House" in Duck for Spring Break again.  We had a great time!  The kids really looked forward to going and did not want to leave the Yellow House to go home at the end of the week.  Before we left the forecast said it would be in the 50s all week, but luckily the forecast was wrong!  There were 2 days that it was sunny and only about 50, but the rest of the days it was low to mid 70s and only rained once in the evening.  It was sooo nice to be on vacation.  Vacations are 100% necessary sometimes.  Especially for Spring Break.

Our first day there was one of the cooler days. We walked into town for an Easter egg hunt throughout the shops.  We've never been there early enough for that, but it was a lot of fun.  the kids were very good about only taking 1-2 eggs at each store like they were supposed to.  The eggs had coupons for the stores, candy, shells, small toys, etc.  It was a really cool event.

These 2 pictures were on a bad setting when they were taken and got washed out.  I still liked them though. This is the best I could do to salvage them.

The kids liked taking bubble baths with the jets on in the tub.  Only a little squeeze of shower gel made a lot of bubbles.
