Lukey lost his 1st tooth!!

Lukey's has had a loose tooth for the last few weeks.  He said he would just let it come out when it was ready.  Today, it was ready.  He was eating a peach and it came right out on its own in the peach.  He was pretty excited!  He said it didn't hurt.  He's a proud boy.  

Kentucky Derby/Mother's Day weekend

These 2 looked so dapper in their Kentucky Derby get-up.  Da and I went to Uncle Ben's for a Derby party and I had to make a hat, so Anna wanted to make one too.  We went for a walk that morning and she wore her hat.  The golfers were very impressed with her hat and said she was ready for the derby and some mint juleps.  

We had a great Mother's Day.  Lukey told me earlier in the week that it was going to be the best Mother's Day ever.  And, it was. They were both very nice and gave me lots of pictures and art projects for Mother's Day.  They were both also very nice. Lukey was proud that he scored a Mother's Day goal at soccer.  After soccer we went to Nana and Pa's house for dinner.  Anna had fun with bubbles and we had a great dinner.

Anna and Lukey are in soccer again this fall.  They seem to have a lot of fun there.  They have similar playing styles.  They are good at listening and playing with their teammates.  Neither of them is very aggressive.  They like to chase after the ball but don't want to offend anyone by trying to take the ball from them.  Once in a while, when the ball comes directly to them, they are good at dribbling towards the goal and sometimes scoring goals.  

Anna wanted to celebrate a nice day outside by making her cat, Marie into Rainbow Marie again like she did last fall.  She puts Marie in a bucket of chalk and shakes her around and Marie becomes Rainbow Marie.  Marie then takes a bath in the sink.

Anna loves playing with Juliet after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Lately they have been dressing up every time they are together.  They sometimes like to accessorize.
