Stethoscope, Anna and Clifford

Lukey hadn't played with his stethoscope in awhile, but he recently found it and put it right where it belongs.

It's been fun having time to spend with just Anna while Lukey goes to school.  We play outside, go grocery shopping and play.

This week was "red" week at school.  Lukey made a Clifford hat.  He's pretty good at bringing home crafts.  Its optional to do the crafts so I'm really happy that he chooses to paint and bring home cool crafts.  He did great this week.  This week he greeted the teacher by telling her, "I know how to spell my name. Luke. L. U. K. E."  She then told me how great he was doing with playing nicely and that its hard to remember that he's one of the younger ones in the class because of his vocabulary and how big he is and how very smart he is.  Good job, Luke.

Frankenmuth

Last weekend we went to Frankenmuth for Pa Bob's birthday.  We ate lunch at Zehnders then went to the Octoberfest after.  It was lot of fun!  Lukey liked dancing with his cousins while Anna took a snooze on Nana.  After they danced for awhile, the kids jumped in a bouncehouse.  It was Anna's first time in a bouncehouse. She loved it!  She already knows how to jump.

Paige's baptism

We all went to church for Paige's baptism.  It was Anna's first time attending church and Lukey's second (his first was for Uncle Jamie and Aunt Beth's wedding).  They did okay.  None of them lasted too long, but long enough to see the baptism part so that's what matters.

Lukey's first day of pre-school!

Today was Lukey's first day of pre-school.  He goes to school for half days twice a week.    He was pretty excited to go. I think he did a good job, but the teacher did tell me that he is a very busy boy and she thinks that he will listen to her..and said we'll have a talk if he starts to not listen at all...
So, we'll see what happens.  I think it'll be really good for him if they can handle him!

Happy Birthday, Nana!

Nana's birthday was on Sunday.  We celebrated by a girls trip to the Rochester art fair in the morning then spent the rest of the day playing at Nana and Pa Bob's house with the Morgan family.  Pictures of the kids with Nana before eating cake didn't turn out too well.  The kids were way too interested in trying to get the cake so this was the best we got.  Happy Birthday, Nana.  Thanks for all you do!

Biker Luke

We've spent the last few nights the same way.  Lukey rides his bike with Da near him in case he needs help and Mommy pushes Ina in her pink car ahead of them.  Lukey insists on Mommy and Ina going in front of him so that he can chase us.  Ina loves this.  I need to jog sometimes so that he won't run into us because he's gotten fast!  He's also really good at steering, looking for cars before crossing the road and being considerate to other people on the sidewalk.  We go around the neighborhood and this lasts about an hour, sometimes more.  You can tell when Lukey starts getting pretty tired by the end because he'll say he's running out of fuel.  He's become a really good bike rider.   Thanks for the early birthday present, Grammy and Gramps!

These videos aren't very long because he didn't have all the proper elements to the ride.  Ina wasn't in her pink car yet.

Cider Mills and 1 1/2 year old Anna!

This weekend we went to the Plymouth Cider Mill and the Northville Cider Mill.  They liked both.  Lukey said he liked the Northville one better.  They have play structures there for him.

Lukey "protecting" Anna from going on a wagon.  He's very protective over her even when she's not doing anything dangerous at all.  She doesn't appreciate it now, but maybe someday she will.

Their favorite part of going to the Plymouth Cider mill was sitting on this tractor.  They didn't care that much about the  animals on this trip.

Northville has fun things to play on.  Lukey called this the monster truck. He played very nicely with all the other kids on it.  And with Uncle Rob and Paige.

Paige and her pouty face.

Lukey giving Anna a kiss.

Anna feeding the ducks.  (Yes, she wore the same dress 2 mornings in a row.  I couldn't resist.
Thanks for the dress, Maeve.)

Anna and Lukey feeding ducks by the cider mill.  We take them to feed the ducks at Heritage Park sometimes in the evening.  One bit Anna the other day.  She was okay though and maybe now won't try to pet them anymore.

This picture is so Anna.  She is 1 1/2 today!  She's very nice but also has a little baby attitude.  She's a lady.  She has made a lot of progress in the last 18 months.  She likes to talk a lot, likes animals, painting, having her toe nails painted, playing with Play-Doh, singing, playing outside, dancing, swimming, playing with Lukey, etc.  Her favorite food right now is noo noos (mostly mac and cheese).  If you ask her what her favorite color is, she'll tell you its blue.  She says everything is blue.  She's a pretty happy baby.

One of her favorite things to do it to point at me and say "stop".  She thinks its funny to say this when I look back at her in the car while Da is driving.

Splash Park

Lukey and Anna have had fun going to the Splash Park at Heritage Park throughout the summer.  Lukey especially likes running around and letting the bucket of water fall on his head.

Anna started off the summer staying by one little fountain most of the time but has become more adventurous.

Lukey just loving the water.
