Corn roast

Today we went to the Canton Lions Club Corn Roast.  It was at the barn by Cherry Hill Village.  Tim saw something about it online and absolutely insisted that we go.  I had my doubts, but it turned out to be a really good event.  It was only $5 per adult and kids were free.  And it was all you can eat corn (which was delicious), hot dogs, beans, cotton candy, snow cones, ice cream, soda, popcorn and watermelon.

Anna liked playing with the raffle thing.  It became a problem when I noticed some of the raffle tickets started falling out.  Hopefully she didn't screw up anyone's chances of winning.

Tim also convinced Uncle Rob, Aunt Steph, Paige, Uncle Jamie and Grammy and Grandpa to come too.  Paige really liked her ice cream.

Anna liked her ice cream too.  Lukey is good at feeding her.

Paige practicing her standing.  She liked going up and down over and over.

Anna had fun playing peek a boo behind this tree.

Lukey had a lot of fun pushing Paige around in her stroller.  She kind of liked it too.

She wasn't all that thrilled when he kissed her goodbye.  Sorry Paige.

Paint and animals

Lukey really likes painting with water colors.   He's pretty good at it.  Anna likes it too but she's still a little rough with the paintbrush.

Anna modeling her smock.

This morning we went to the Maybury Farm.  It's a pretty cool farm because they let you go inside  a lot of the pens with the animals.  Both of the kids loved playing with the animals.  This is a picture of Anna mooing at a cow.

Anna and Lukey laughing at the goat.

Anna trying to feed her Cheerios to the llama (or alpaca?).  We took the Cheerios away from her after this.  I don't know if we were allowed to feed them.

This guy was their favorite.

The tractor didn't move much when Lukey tried to pedal, so Anna helped to push him.

Happy Birthday Leah!

Today we went to Leah's birthday party.  It was a princess themed party.  The kids had a great time.  I barely got any pictures.  Just a few of them eating the cake.  Here Leah is instructing Lukey to wait and to not touch the cake.

He really wanted that cake!

Weekend pics

We wanted to make use of the recreation passport that I got with my registration this year by going to a state park.  So, we decided to go to Sterling State Park on Lake Erie.  The kids had a lot of fun playing by the water and sand.  It was fun sitting by the beach.  The only downside was there was no showers or waterspouts in sight so I had to wash sand off Anna in the sink.  The bathrooms were really gross and there was a BIG spider in there.  Other than that, we had a good time.

This was Anna and Lukey's idea of a fun game.  Anna really likes to wear this backpack/leash and Lukey liked taking her for "walks" by putting the leash in his mouth.  He has gotten really into taking her for walks lately.  Not usually like this.  Usually by holding her hand and taking her around the house and taking her by the pretend food and making a picnic for her.  She likes it too.  What she really likes to do it fall down and laugh and make him pull her up again.  Until he gets too aggressive.  Then she gets mad and they'll stop playing.  It goes on for awhile though.  They're becoming better friends.

Lukey walking Anna while she holds some of her favorite things-a pacifier and 2 baseball pictures of Kent.  She really likes carrying these pictures around.

This morning we went to the Arb.  It was very lovely.  We saw 2 bucks, a groundhog a few poodles, and a chipmunk.  It was also Lukey's first time using a porta-potty!  He stood on top of the seat to pee "just like da."  Whatever works.

We were very impressed with how far these 2 ran.  For a little tike, Anna was very good at walking and running a long time.  Lukey was especially good and climbing a lot of steps (or as he called them "stairs").

Anna got a little angry that no one was holding her hand to cross the bridge.  As soon as I was done taking this picture I held her hand and she was happy to cross.

I tried to tell Lukey to rest his elbow on this fence for a picture but he rested his head instead.

Anna absolutely loves bubbles.

Happy Birthday to Da

Last Thursday was Da's birthday.  We celebrated by going to Birch Run and Frankenmuth.  We didn't last long at Birch Run because the kids were too bad.  The only store they liked was Stride Rite, where Anna was in heaven around all the shoes.  Frankenmuth was a hit though.  They both liked all the food.  Especially Lukey.  He also was really good at going for a long trip like that with using the potty every time he had to go pee.  After that we came home and I made a carrot cake for Da.  Overall, it was a pretty good day!  Happy Birthday to Da.

The kids wanted to go for a walk and run around in the fields together after a big lunch.  (and mommy and da wanted to go for a walk after sharing a pitcher of beer at lunch).

Playing ring around the rosie.  This is one of their favorite games to play together.  Yesterday we discovered that another favorite game of theirs is to do somersaults into each other.  Lukey just recently has been able to do somersaults by himself.  Then Anna figured it out too!  She's an advanced gymnast.

Anna started to have more interest in playing with sticks than anything else.

We bought Lukey some bird food for him to feed the peacocks and whatever other birds were in this pen.  After realizing that the birds didn't really care about the bird food he tried to put it back.

Lukey singing Happy Birthday to Da.  Lukey always gets to sit in front of the cake and blow out the candles at birthdays.

This deer was in our neighbors backyard yesterday.  I took a picture of him through the screen so it came out really light and blurry. So, I just kept photo editing for fun.
